Structural Integration
The Rolf Method of Structural Integration is a holistic approach to wellness that focuses on alignment and balance in the body's structure for improved posture, movement, and overall well-being. Developed by Dr. Ida P. Rolf, this method emphasizes the relationship between the body's connective tissues, or fascia, and its alignment within the gravitational field. Through a series of hands-on manipulations and movement education, practitioner and client work together to release tension, realign the body, and enhance its natural balance. By addressing patterns of strain and restriction, the Rolf Method aims to alleviate chronic pain, improve range of motion, and promote a greater sense of ease and vitality in daily life.
Integrated Body offers 90 minute sessions in the form of single sessions, a Rolf Method Three Series and the traditional Rolf Method Ten Series.
Ten Series
Traditionally, Structural Integration has been practiced through a series of ten consecutive sessions designed to systematically address the body's alignment and function. Each session focuses on specific areas of the body with consideration to your unique needs, gradually releasing tension, realigning structure, and improving movement patterns. The Ten Series is the most effective way to receive lasting change and benefits from this modality. By working through the entire series, clients experience profound shifts in posture, range of motion, and overall well-being, achieving a more balanced and integrated body. Whether addressing chronic pain, enhancing athletic performance, or seeking overall wellness, the Rolf Ten Series offers a comprehensive path to transformative results.
Three Series
A Rolf Method Three series is available either as introduction to the Ten Series or as a post-Ten Series method. Each session will address your individual goals/needs while drawing on the Ten Series for principles of balance and integration. A Three Series can be a great way to become acquainted with Structural Integration, as well as maintain alignment and well-being long after you’ve received your Ten Series. New clients who receive a Three-Series will likely not need to repeat the first three sessions of their Ten Series.
Single Sessions
If you’ve never experienced Structural Integration before, a single session can be a great introduction to the benefits of the Rolf Method. Offered as an introduction to the Ten Series or as post-Ten Series “tune-ups”, these sessions will be tailored to your unique goals, while utilizing key fundamentals of the Ten Series.
Post-Ten Series
The Ten Series is designed to leave your body feeling balanced and in a settled state. Because of its whole system approach, some clients complete the series and never feel the need for another session. Others view the process of balance as a lifelong practice and prefer coming in for periodic “tune-ups”. These can be scheduled in the form of single sessions or Three Series and can occur anywhere from monthly to yearly.
